Erosion of the soil by slopes, embankments and channels can easily cause damage or contamination. Naturally growing vegetation alone cannot prevent erosion nor provide long-term and overall reliability due to its limited quality of retention. Grasses and other vegetation are excluded when there is a high risk of erosion. But with the help of 3D geomat, vegetation can withstand these risks, often caused by wind and rain, to become a stable and fully grown green surface.


3D geomats are three-dimensional polymer mats made of tangled purple outer-stabilized polyoxadia or polypropylene monofilaments fused together at their intersections. Generally, our clients choose the black 3D geomat because it provides heat protection and keeps moisture for plant germination; choose the green 3D geomat because it is suitable for the green plant cover. ; then it assists plant establishment and stabilizes the root system. So we say 3D geomat helps both before and after vegetation.


3D geomat and its variants:Open structure 3D geomat: The three-dimensional polymer mat is made of tangled UV-stabilized polyamide monofilaments fused together at intersections, without any backing. Polymer-backed open-structure 3D geomat: one, two or three-layer 3D polyamide or polypropylene mat combined with the lower layer of flat polyamide or polypropylene backing, respectively called EM2, EM3, EM4. Biodegradable 3D geomat: 3D polymer mat sewn onto a biodegradable backing. Install with its three-dimensional open structure facing down and the biodegradable backing facing up. Geotextile or Geomembrane 3D Geomats: 3D polymer mats combined with geotextiles or geomembranes on one or both sides for embankment drainage, or for use on steep or rocky slopes to prevent soil slippage. Hexagonal Wire Mesh Reinforced 3D Geomat: A 3D polymer mat, reinforced with a hexagonal wire mesh to ensure that plants hold tight and stabilize the soil. Geogrid-Reinforced 3D Geomats: 3D polymer mats reinforce the geogrid to enhance overall stability. Gravel 3D geomat: 3D polymer mat pre-filled with 2-6 mm bitumen-bound stone chip mineral filter, providing erosion protection for surfaces permanently subjected to water impact from high velocity and wavelet erosion. Standard widths range from 1 to 4 m. It should be mounted the same as the biodegradable supporting 3D geomat.
