4.6 When we design the gabion box structures, it shall be on basis of the principle of mass gravity retaining wall.

4.7 The particle size curve of the filling stone and the installation method determine the density of the filled gabion box.

Procedure: Usually, it should be 60% to 70% of the density of the solid material.

In some cases, a higher value may be appropriate. But the engineer must ensure that the design value is reached on site.

4.8 The stones filled in the gabion box are generally between 100 and 200 mm, depending on the size of the hole size. 

The minimum value is controlled by the size of the wire mesh. The stones filled in the gabion box must be hard and durable.

4.9 The minimum radius of curvature of the gabion wall can reach 25 meters without modifying the gabion structure.
